Who we are
EasyMerge is operated by Easy Merge Services, which is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
Your documents
PDF merging happens entirely in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to our servers, never stored, and never seen by us or any third party.
What personal data we collect
We collect your email address and sign-in identity, your credit balance and pass expiry, and a record of each merge containing only the number of files and a timestamp. We also collect device identifiers, IP address and usage telemetry to help prevent abuse and improve the service.
How we use your data
We use this information to provide the merge service, enforce free-merge timing, prevent fraud and abuse, provide customer support, and improve the product. The legal basis is contract performance and our legitimate interests in running a secure and reliable service.
Who we share data with
We share data only with service providers and subprocessors who help us host and operate the service, with our Merchant of Record Paddle for sale of the product, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing, and with professional advisers or authorities where required by law.
Advertising
Ad breaks are how free merges are funded. Ad providers may set their own cookies or identifiers subject to their own privacy policies. We do not share your email address or merge history with advertisers.
Payments
Pass purchases are handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Card details are entered on Paddle's systems and never reach ours; we receive only a confirmation and the pass duration.
Data retention and security
We keep your account and entitlement records for as long as you have an account, then delete or anonymise them when they are no longer needed. We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption and access controls, to protect your data.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, and to object to or port it. To exercise these rights, contact support. We typically respond within one month.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and maintain your session. Analytics or advertising cookies may be set by our ad or analytics partners; you can manage those through your browser settings.
Your choices
You can request deletion of your account and all associated records at any time by contacting support. Deleting the account removes your entitlement and merge records.
